A lost and forgotten dispatch

Post by Vogar Eol »

Thane Durrith Ironweld,

The fighting in the northeast shaft does not fair well. These orcs maybe be lacking in propper armour, but they have the advantage of numbers on us once again. Mitrill! How do these blasted creatures keep coming?

Our losses have been heavy, only two Fists of axemen remain. Our pikemen were completely overrun this morning, but they held long enough for us to secure the third Holding. From the Holding we have been laying heavy missile fire on any attempts at its gates. How long will our supplies last?

On the morrow we plan to withdraw to Stonedge Bridge; a few of our engineers are weakening it as we speak. Furgon, son of Holdor claims that if we give him one Fist of Crossbowmen, and a third of a fist with heavy shields, he can hold the bridge against Necromancer himself. Just in case, we are setting charges about the keystone.

Hope to Mitrill the war fairs better on the surface.
