Champion is my favorite epic class for a melee character.

You get all the basic fighting skills such as Spin, multistrike, backstab, circle, charge ect...

You also get dodge, parry, tumble, equilibrium, and shields. You get all armors.

You are decent with daggers, exotics, hammers, maces, axes, swords, and talons.

You have the "Hands" skill of the Paladin for emergency heals. You get a decent enough heal spell, regen, resurrection, and bless from being a paladin as well.

As a Paladin you can also use Holy Avenger for criticals on Undead.

Lastly you get the Hide, Sneak, Detrap, and Lockpick from being a Rogue.

Warrior/Rogue/Paladin is a great combo if I do say so. Even the name is cool: C H A M P I O N

Depends on what you want to do with the class. For combat, the best classes are Holy Templar, Juggernaut, and Spiritualist, with the best one for each character depending on whether they are a pixie or a gnome, and what ultra runes they have(for example, someone with no surps or dupis shouldn't be a Juggernaut, and a Gnome shouldn't be a Spiritualist)

I personally like swashbuckler as an epic class, you get almost everything Vogar loves about the Chanpion class (minus the warrior-specific skills such as spin) but trade them for more speed from psion complexities as well as some defense spells.

Paladin/Rogue/Psionocist=Swashbuckler

Myself, I like my Arcane Templar. But I am enthusiastic about getting my Swashbuckler up to par - I heard they are awesome =)

The most important thing is having fun. By far. If you are having fun, stick with it, you are doing the right thing.

But with that said, it would depend on who you asked. Many consider the ranger to be the worst overall class, so that alone would disqualify your character from being a power build. But honestly, so much of your power depends on your gear...Almost any character can be made uber with the right equipment.

But in the end, somebody who started with a different set of classes will always be stronger than you, all other things being equal.

All about fun in the end though.

I just got around to reading this post. My favorite class is Knight. I love being able to spin and breath. The heal from my pally is also awesome. I see no downsides to Knight.

i happen to like spiritualist, you get spin, speed, and healing, plus good defence. my only problem is im a gnome, if i were a pixie i would be 5% better

i say the the only 2 clesses that REALLY matter are warrior and cleric, if you have those 2 any other class mixed with it will work. some people may disagree but, this is just my opinion. and before anyone says it, there is ALLWAYS a stronger class combo

Hrm, replace cleric with paladin and I will agree with you. If you are only going to have a single healing class, might as well be a paladin.

whaaa lol i peronaly like clerics and pallys in same you get diffrent things with them and why if your going to pick a healing class might as well be pally pally heal pale in compareson to clerics my favorite class would be inquisitor because they own ~nod~ holy templas are good also as well as orcles

i dont even pick cleric for healing, if i need a heal that bad i can always regen or quaff a potion. the reason i say cleric is haste and ward. if you have 90% resistance to somthing you are more than likely not going to need a heal. but like i said, this is my opinion (and i dont really PvP so im just talking from an epicing point of view)

even in epics you sometimes need heals thats why healing comes in handy atleast for me at e400 things do do damage even with 90% resist

ya but like i said, if you do need a heal you can allways quaff a potion or let regen works its corse, having a cleric is good for healing, true... but my point was healing isnt the best thing about a cleric

i agree clerics have many uses but if you chose cleric no matter what the reason you should milk it for what its worth :)

i agree, i was thinking about making a pixie psion/cleric/pally for speed, what do ya think? equiped with dual daggers with moo runes and holy avenger wouldnt that be like.... super fast?

by voska
ur talkin bout a defender, im very interested in making one as well, i think they r supposed to be super fast, but u think pixie is the best race for one?

Posted: Wed Oct 26, 2005 2:09 am
by Bon
well imo inquisitor is probaly one of the quikest and best classes you get maxed daggers plus good haste and vig and a /ok/ time flux but a pixie is probaly the quickest race out there i enjoy mine havnt tried a defender but they would be quick yes

ya i say pixie because well.... 25% magic, or maby a gnome would be a good choice with 20% magic and 50 MR at level 50. im kinda a big fan of gnome, but i like the 25% magic you get from pixies. (my alt has 74 MR without spells and 146 MR with spells and thats not max fecs)

yea, but since a defender is a pally/psion/cleric, wouldnt u want a race thatwould help more in the melee area? pixie isnt the best when it comes to strength
