Because you can't keep your current race, you may notice changes like the pixie's spell complexity boosts or gnome's magic
resistance. With the addition of the proper star sign and ancestery you will recover most if not all of the abilities you are accustomed to. With so many combinations possible you could come out with even better abilities.
