No losing equipment
I assume everybody already knows about this:
* Sages are mass-researching 'preventing gearloss upon death'!
Assist by sacrificing enchanted items (322,822/150,000,000).
And that it means that once that number of enchant space in items is sacrificed, your items will then stay on you even if you die, and only things like gold will stay on your corpse.
Obviously it will take more than just sacrificing spare items lying around to reach this 150 million enchant space benchmark, although every little bit helps.
The main way I can think of to reach that exceedingly large amount is making lots of rings and enchanting them with cantrip prisms. Collars would be ideal, if you found a really really abundant drainable that could fill them up. But for all intents and purposes, rings or, if you cant make rings, templas and bindi, are probably ideal.
I can commit to about 4 - 5 million enchant space worth of rings to sacrifice, but before I do this, I would like to know what other people are willing to commit as well. I will not do this if I am going to be the only one to do it, so now I am asking that anybody else who is willing to do this, please make a commitment in this thread and let us all know. Once we all have a fair amount total, we can go to work.

Sure, I'm trying to get everybody who has the means to put out a bigish number to post in this thread with their commitment.Gilgolad wrote:Sweet, i'm in. I'll do what i can when i can.
Oh, can you update the total count as time goes along too?
So far it is me and Sardonyx, at amount 8 - 10 million enchant space total.

Also, I think we should utilize the hall of exchage in tarsonis. For example I will be crafting some jewllery soon. If I can't/don't have the time or inclination to enchant 100 pieces with cantrip. I could drop them off their and someone else could pick them up and enchant them.
This would def help out. Especially considering that to make 1 mp e200 item you're creating what... 100k espace in junk items just by accident?
I'll be trying to donate what I can, when I can. This would also work for weapons and armor (assuming they have over 1k espace) if someone just drops them by.
Didn't he double the espace amount from 80 mil to 150 mil?

I actually think collars are counted as jewellery right now. (Unchecked)weems wrote:Yes but how will you quickly and easily fill up all the space on a collar? With a piece of jewelry, all you have to do is stick a prism into it. Done.Kiasyn wrote:Collars have lots of space. Also it would be best to do this with a bad enchanter? because then it wouldtake up more space per enchant.

Prevent - Stop
Gearloss - The loss of gear (presumably equipment that you're wearing, not that is in your inventory)
Upon - At the time of
Death - The process of losing your life...
So....this research will stop you from losing your gear (probably meaning what you're wearing, not what's in your inventory) at the time of a killing blow being dealt to you...in the form of it staying on your body. Basically, Cele is probably just removing the part of the death code where your equipment is removed from your body and put into your corpse.
