stats versus saves and DR and the like
yeah... im startin to get meh epic eq crafted, and i was wonderin what to put on em... ive got a crappy set right now, with nearly maxed stats...
a rough guess would be
48str 52wis 50int 50dex 50con 14lck 11cha
something like that
ive got about 250 damroll at the moment, i need to know what i should put on...
PS i have 90 slash res and will get 90 blunt res with ward.

Check it ouuuuut
I'm not sure if some of you have noticed, but there's a minute issue with having 90% on more than one resist type. And despite what a great many think about metal (off topic) first class defines what type of gear you should be wearing...so if you're a magic user first class..don't be wearing the metal stuff and then whining that your butt has been handed to you. Get your cloth and wood out and you'll beat everything up. Alot of you bigger magic user tri classes already know that. I hope some others will follow your example. Anyways, back to the resists. I've found that by removing my rings in epics, the skeletons don't hit Britt as hard as they do when I have the rings on. The rings bring me to 90% slash resist so I removed them to see what they'd do and the blunt worked about 30% better by removing the slash resist. Now I know cele had mentioned before that you'd have to be smart about how you % your resists and I don't know if it was meant to be so subtle a change, but there IS a slight change and may help some of you lower level players who join the higher levels in epics.
Well that there's all the stuff I can think of at this moment, so I'll come up with some more numbers later.
by the way, for those of you who want to check out the armor for the classes when the mud is back up, check out...uh wait..what was it called again...either help armor_classes or help armor_styles or help armor_skills. Darnit...where's dl when you need a helpfile *sigh* I'll bet on the third one though.

Some comments on your note Roje:
First class only defines what game armor you can or cannot wear...like rogue first-classes cannot wear wings of the eagles and other fun stuff.
If you have a mage/psionicist/warrior you can still see in your practice list that heavy armor etc will be at a warriors level...assuming you adepted it.
As for multiple resists, as far as i know from when it was first instated you should be able to see a literal change in your resists on your score if you enchanted too many types. Ive never had a problem with 90 blunt/90 slash/90 pierce. Most skeletons are pierce anyway i believe.
And the help file is help armor_skill
As for Chilliwack, im going to assume youre melee, so you need to max all stats except for cha and lck, get 300+ damroll, dont worry about pvp atm, get 60+ reflex save, and of course 90% blunt/slash and imo also as much pierce as possible, because i personally hate spiders and dragons...this if of course different for other ppl because they dont have pierce resist usually
As for type of armor, if youre worrying about mobility then you should be checking help armor_skill but in most cases anyone doing mobility will go for the lightest material anyway. I dont recommend this for most unless youre a caster or a specialist, so just wear the best metal you can get.

How can it not be as effective if the percentages are there? A mage/warrior will still have 99% heavy armor. Otherwise its just opinion as to whether you prefer to dodge or take the damage...or he was doing something else wrong.
As for skeletons, some do blunt like monster skeletons but dont the casters have daggers and the archers bows and others with spears? Or am i thinking of kobolds? Its not all blunt i know that. In any case the point was that unless you overenchanted lots of types of resist that thered be no way (unless its a bug or secret Celeborn-code) you could improve blunt by removing slash. Youre using terms like 30% better, but unless you can see it in your score (which means you overenchanted on types) or as an Immortal, its my opinion that you couldnt make a whole theory out of it.

i say 30% because when I drop my slash resists to by 1/3 i'm already getting hit that much less. Sounds ridiculous I know, but when has Britt ever reacted normally to any bloody piece of eq *mutter*. I'd go from being hit around 300 per hit down to about 100. And first class changes the use of the item. I can't tell you why, but if I have to start logging myself to prove something, I will. And the other player that I have no mentioned, he had the same thing happen, both pieces had the exact same stuff on it, but his metal gear didn't work as well as his wood gear. First class was Cleric the pally or warrior, cant remember the class, didnt change it. Several of the spells and skills have been doing the same thing. Warrior dual wields at lvl 15, but I cant dual wield until 17 on Chinko cause he's got Pally first class. He's a pally/cleric/warrior. but it could all be one gigantic fluke on my account that I'm just not realizing or something.

well imo if your using 90% resist and you have dam reduc you should only be getting hit for like 100 anyways i got about 1300 dam reduc and 90 pierce slash and blunt and i rarely have to heal i only got 2500 hp and i can survive almost anythig except txas berage off the bat for the like 3k ehe but other then taht its all good
dont tempt me cuz I WILL KILL YOU ALL
aye, thing is, i changed some of brits gear so that she'd have the higher dam reduction, i'm around 1200 dam red but eh. maybe i should finally just make the full switch to crafted gear lol. or i'll just stick with chinko, he's so much more fun. Pally/Cleric/Warrior isnt the BEST, but gotta be more fun than a rogue! i havent had spin since Brittania version 1.0 through 5.0. Or maybe I should make a Brittania version 9.0 and make her wear crafted gear...HMMMM. lol

I have a rather odd epic class, Mage\Paladin\Ranger.
It gives me decent melee attack, an extra wide range of skills (most of which are useless when compared to warriors or rouges), top ofthe line spell casting with a wide, WIDE range of complexities, and a very respecatable heal ability.
What i don't understand is how you can be part paladin and still be called a "brigand"
