Economy Craft Changes - Some illustrations

Post by Celeborn »

I wanted to visualise how I expect future crafting to go. Its not a complete picture but it should give you a general idea.

And to clarify how object classifications relate to enchanted objects, and what enchanters will be enchanting:

Where in this chart (if at all) will glory fit in? Perhaps glory can be used to purchase special tokens?

if it is used, i hope it is a really small, tiny role.

*notices people with 14,000 - 38,000 glory*

Under current system 38k of glory wouldn't do all that much.

As for that IF, glory suddenly becomes completely useless for anything but becoming a transexual, or changing your size, and both of those are things I strongly disagree with. Items are expendable, and I see no hurt in giving them a boost using glory.

If the boost only allows a little glory, then there will be a lot of items that use it. If the boost allows a lot of glory, people will dump it all into one item, (potential for loss is greater). Look at it this way. If you cap all resists at 50%, people will have 50% resistances to everything. If you cap them at 99%, people will be 99% resistant to one or two things. People are perfectly willing to dump everything into one stat or item if you let them. If you force them to spread it thin over lots of stats or items, they will. Either way they will use every bit of space they can get. In the end neither makes any difference. A few powerful items are easier to track and make better tales then a bunch of mundane ones.

Oh, and as for those people over about 12k glory, surprise of surprises is that they are all over e200. I wonder how they got that glory? Could they possibly be the hero's and legendary characters of the game? Lingolas has 36k and is e689, big surprise? How about we just take away a major reason to epic level?
