Portals - new patch

I didn't notice this before when I tested the new patch, but when I cast an extra portal, it appears after all of my other portals when it used to be placed first. I really liked the convenience of keeping it first since most people cast the portal for immediate use.

EDIT: Also, you know how one drops a second portal then picks it back up so it will appear as the #1 portal? Won't do it.

Example:
Goal: Need labeled portal 'resource' to come before labeled 'pick' portal.

Drop portal
get portal
(no results)

Drop 2.portal
get portal
(no results)

Drop 'resource' portal
get portal
(no results)

Drop 'pick' portal
get portal
(no results)

The pick portal forever remains #1. This entails me reconfiguring all my triggers so that resources now go into 'resource' portal and honestly, for Mushclient users, this is a pain as we run off several worlds for each character. And no, I won't switch clients for those of you who will pop up at say that =P

Yeah, i noticed this too, i had to drop all my previously held portals and pick them back up to make it so the one i wanted appeared first. Kind of easier if you create a portal and then want to put something in it if its the one that appears when you exam portal.

EDIT: Not to mention that after i logged off then back in the portals switched back again...

Ahah!!!

I had to ENGRAVE my second portal so that it could be picked up first and placed first among my portals.

Was this intentional, or can it be fixed like it was on the old system?

hey, yeh i dont really like the fact that everything you pick up, such as chests and portals, goes to the back of the stack. such as when im leveling my little level 10 ill have to put every chest i get intoa portal so that when i look in chest it wont show one i all ready have. i have to look in my inventory every time i get a chest to see how meany i have so i can look in the last one i got to see what i got. this is verry annoying but hey, i guess i can learn to deal with it, maby in a while after we all lernt to work with it it will turn out to be easyer to use than the orrigional way. i support everything celeborn does. one suggestion i have for celeborn, if he wants to take the time to change it, is make it to where the portals and chests dont switch around due to whats in them and, make it like it used to be where the newest thing you pick up is the first thing in your inventory. thx for hearing me.

i have a big problem too, every time i log on and off, the order of my portals switches. so 2.port becomes 4.port, which is a pain when i have to change my trigger from 2.port to 4.port to avoid mixing contents
thats a big problem. Needs to be solved!
