I hate having to open a browser just to read the noteboards... can't you tie the forums in with the noteboards or something as an alternative? blah!

Not really. The issue with the in-game noteboards is that they are many and hard to keep up with. They aren't threaded so its hard to follow specific topics. And, mostly importantly, because we have to remove notes to keep "note list" somewhat readable, we lose a lot of good notes that we'd otherwise want to keep around.

The forums are permanent, provide threads, and most importantly, are far far far more organized. Plus, I can check them at work, as could anyone without a really mean boss, or at school, which means I can devote more time to the game's design myself.

And third: Because I said so. Forums are far more useful than the in-game noteboards, which suck. The Private messaging function of the forums is also far better than mudmail.

With the forums you can't send notes and items at the same time though :P

According to the tech zone you have a 2.6ghz processor and 256 megs of RAM. Opening up a browser should not be an issue.

Especially considering with 3 keys, she can open a shortcut right to the main forum page.

Thanks Zera, I was about to complain when I saw them. Don't quite like the color of the reply page either...but I guess it's okay.

But if it wasn't for Cel and his crazy ideas, where would we be? *thinks about it* If it wasn't for Cel, I wouldn't be addicted to Dark-Legacy... oh well

Perhaps the complaints board shouldn't have how many messages are on it and stuff either. It's quite easy to figure out whos posting on their from the memberlist unless it's a busy day, and I assume that's why you took off last poster from it. Also, can it not show when theres new posts which don't regard you? I kept going there thinking that I had a post being replied to. Or at least give a "Mark all posts as read" button (I didn't notice one).

There's a Mark All Forums Read at the bottom of the forum list, and a "Mark All Topics Read" in each forum.

Ah, now I see them. Don't stand out at all...usually I see them as a button not just a hyperlink.

actually i like the fact that the noteboards are here

when i first heard that the immys were taking noteboards out, i got a bit pissed cos i thought it included the TSQ one as well cos i like the tsq one it keeps me up to date on big game things there and then (and if someone is spamming you with note-read all the time and note list, just ask the person to go to midian or freeport, they have noteboards too :P)

but yeah i like these forums and i have no qualms with opening up a browser to check the noteboards cos i can look at other forums at the same times and see people's ideas and actually get to *GASP* like some of the people on the game that i may have not liked before....
