Apetite is there to be "realistic".

I don't know about you, but I have to eat and drink every 5 minutes, and I appreciate a game which incorporates this aspect of my very realistic life. It makes me happy.

Apetite is there as a trade off to affect-by uber-gear. if you wish to wear uber-gear, you have to eat a lot to power it.

On another note, there are ways to soften the apetite. *Bwoehahaha*

Celeborn, imbued effects are not a part of "Uber Gear". Imbued effects are at best convenient, at worst worthless, almost never actually powerful. The main problem I see with them is that a lot of the "best" mob eq comes with them, so you get the effects, and the starvation, whether you want them or not. Items like Benediction, Warp Cloak, and Swirls of Ether used to be good, but now I avoid them like the plague because they come with imbued effects. Benediction would be a good item for my alts if it didn't have any imbued effects, but I don't use it anymore because it's not worth the hassle of having to eat every few minutes. Swirls of Ether used to be one of my favorite mob items, but now I'd sooner wear a pair of womens' panties.

In most cases where players have imbued effects, it's because the effects were part of a piece of eq they found and they couldn't use the item without getting the effects. I have a total of one effect enchanted on my crafted equipment, and it is only there because I got that piece of eq from another person who had already enchanted it.

*coughs* and what is wrong with wearing womens underwear! I find it extremely comfortable, I will have you know.

But honestly, yes this topic has been gone into quite a bit already in another thread. I don't feel like posting everything all over again.

However, according to isabelle a couple of fecs makes Create Food instantly fill you.

nifferson, there is no reason for you to need to eat every 2 minutes, here are some things to keep in mind

1) extra effect runes in your 'create spring' will allow you to fill up in one drink
2) extra effect runes in your 'create food' will allow you to fill up in one serving.

3) If you keep your appetite at elevated, or even ravenous, its generally 30 minutes before you need to eat again.
4) if your appetite is at 'insane' fix yourself

5) if you are not magically inclined, when drinking, or eating, you eat until your stomach cannot contain anymore, and you drink until your stomach is sloshing around -- that is the definition of 'filled up' :)

hope this helps
