Dual wield

Post by Kiasyn »

i think.. all classes should have dual wield.. but only be able to dual wield the weapons they are specialized in...

ie

a warrior could dual wield swords, axes, maces and hammers
a rogue could dual wield, daggers, exotics, talonous...

what do you think? :P

I think dual wield is a fighting skill that no mage/cleric/or any other non-combat oriented class would decide to adept over their own specialized skills. Im speaking of the ideal types, cuz i know youre gonna say "I would." A mage dualwielding a couple of staves or daggers seems absurd to me, to be honest.

if a mage wants to have warrior-type skills, he can take warrior or some other class with dual wield as one of the THREE classes he gets. if he chooses to take entirely casting classes, he obviously dedicates all of his time to magic and none to warrior-type skills.

Wait, wait! You guys don't speak Kiasyn! Please, let me interpret. What she really means is, "I have a pixie caster-only and I want to dual-wield two staffs with runewords. Please change the whole game so I can do this."

If your wondering how I learned to speak Kiasyn, I watched a lot of "Lassie" movies.

I agree with what has already been stated by most - if you want dual wield, stick with warrior-type classes.

Besides, if you give dual wield to more classes it lowers the value of that skill to classes like ranger/warrior/etc its like giving warriors the ability to astral (doesn't make sense).
