Home Cities for each race

Have a Home city for each race, they don't have to be major cities, maybe even just townships or something. maybe a couple of generic npc towns for each race and Players can choose from a list. But still give them the option of starting in Tarsonis.

EG:

From which town or city does Makalakadaika the Human Hospic hail?

Loln
Perinor
Dreyvax
Tarsonis
Midian

And some cities or towns can be multi-racial and some that race only.


For instance there are elves and dwarves in Perinor as well as humands, and trolls and ogres and orcs in dreyvax, and only humans in Loln.

I'm all for hometowns, but only if they're as expansive and resource-abundant as cities like Tarsonis and Midian. If you make an area for a specific race, you should have places for them to get items unique to their race (put anti-race flags on it).

However, if you're just going to make a small area and slap a name on it that's made for a certain race, that's just wasteful building.

the rest: sounds good to me... would be fun, special eq for pixies, trolls, dwarves... you could make better eq only for orcs (cause they tend to be left alone)

Yes, lets make a lot of racial gear that only one races can use. I am sure everyone will scamper for this gear, and even make a char from a weaker race just to use it. Heck, people might even stop crafting items and just trust to the new racial gear. Sounds like a great idea to me.
