okay okay okay... i was thinkering....

atm i forget, but ill just keep the screen on for a few minuts till i remember
almost had it
i remember it wasnt a huge thing or anything...

okay, well ill start with another idea:
how about a page or something, just the page, thats all, with a java proxy applet connecting to dl through port 23?

on the page, if this is possible, there cant be the words game, games, rpg, etc, cuz my school blocks em :(

also, i cant find a proxy thing on the web thats not blocked, and downloading stuff = instant ban from the network.

What you want Chilli is a "stealth" page that you can play under the security system's nose in school right?

Bonus points: If the page only looks like a regular Microsoft word page so it looks like you're doing homework! That would be the coolest thing ever since Pie.

Its not about connecting most of the time, its either finding a corner where a teacher cant see your monitor, or makeing sure that a computer teacher isnt watching. If it would look like a regular MS Word page, you could play and it'd look like you were typeing a HW assignment.

another idea, is do your damn work at school, and then play on the computer at home! Or, in the library!

issy sometimes you have all your work done and nothing fun to do, so we tend to get ourselves into trouble. if us MUDers could play DL or what have you without getting into trouble after doing out work, wouldnt that be better than getting into trouble?

Telnet is the best choice to go for at school, they really cant monitor you doing it. I use telnet through run not through the stupid web browser pfft.

Issy, that means you are either A) An older adult B) Not american, or C) Were never a kid yourself. :P

But seriously, sometimes there is just nothing left to do in a free period other than twiddle your thumbs and stare out a window, and since we can't technically play games in school without getting in trouble, we find creative ways to bend (and sometimes flat out annihalate) the rules. This includes finding a way to play a game under the supervisors noses.

the thing with anonymizers, is that my blocking thing at school is good. if its got that word ANYWHERE on it, it wont show. also, the connect2 wont work, because its listed as games, probably from reading the root folder on that server...

also, port 9898 is firewalled, so yeah, i need a proxy server...

i saw kia set one up for another mud somewhere, but when i tried, it didnt work...

I mean an American. Do I REALLY have to say more than that? Wait, I'm talking to people on the internet so that's a given.....

American: Person residing in the United States of America, and generally acting as such.

'nuff said
