I need an impression on how many runes of each type a typical caster requires while levelling up to still be effective (say to level 50). Any idea?

as a cleric, i use ~50-70 fecs for my defensive spells

i don't really DO mages so i wouldn't know them, but probably less fecs for mages, 'cause they don't really use defense spells.

paladins can suck up a lot of fecs as well, what with bless being such a low-level spell

also it's pretty sweet that you're directly asking the players. whooo

as chilli said, it kinda depends on the class, a pally/cleric uses quite a few fecs, where as a mage/psion uses fecs/rgys alot
at lvl 30 my mage is using.. 7 fecs and 8 rgys, but by the time i reach lvl 50 im going to guess it will be somewhere near.. 1 cie, 20 fec, 50 rgy. once im lvl 50/50 double that, and possibly even more, once im epic 1 it would be somewhere around 200 or so fecs, a good 100 or so rgys, a few durs, a cie or bee somewhere in there, possibly a tar or 2, a few lei, 2 or 3 moo, and that would about do it (could be a little higher on the fecs, depending on how my EQ is)

yeah i'm levelling a druid. by now, i'm level 10 and haven't got a single rune. which would be nice so my wolves could be better, 'cause i like using them A LOT.

I currently have a lvl 29 moon elf druid, and he is using right now, 12 fecs and 4 dur's ..I expect in about every 5ish levels to add either another fec/dur to each spell I use..which is 5 with fecs, 2 with durs
