Dwarf only (other races banned!)

Dwarves as they are have decent utilitarian skills for crafting. This has drawn a heck of a lot of dwarves to the game. However, their only purpose is to craft items. For the most part these item crafters/miners rarely level past 30, fewer reach Avatar, only a handful are Tri-Avatar, and less then that epic. Why? They don't have any combat skills for either magic or melee. For survival in epic, thats a disadvantage.
What needs to be done to dwarves? We don't need to encourage people to become dwarves, we need to encourage them to level their current dwarves. We do this by giving them a little bit of a combat bonus.
Dwarf: Mine Prospecting, Regen while Drunk (its only cute, not useful for combat), 'Feral Rage' like effect while drunk.
I would recommend +0.1 Attack per level (max +5attack), +3 damage every other level (Max +75damage), -1 wis/int every tenth level (max -5) and finially -0.1 mobility per level (max -5 mobility) for the "Drunken Rage"
Lingolas suggested making alcohol work like vial potions of healing.... ie... instant HP per sip for a dwarf. I disagree with this strongly. Its not the liqour that heals a dwarf. Its the act of being drunk. If a person wanted to make this better the ammount of points healed per "warms the body" message could be dependant on your max HP instead of the same for everyone.
Lingolas also thought that dwarves should have a decreased balance because they are short and stocky. Since when? Every depiction I have ever seen of a dwarf shows they have HUGE feet compared to their body. Would not that mean they are hard to knock over? Also, is it easier for you to fall on your arse while standing, kneeling, or sitting? Methinks the taller you are, the harder you fall. Not the other way around.
Lingolas also seems to think my +5 AR and +75damage are a bit to much. However he failed completely to notice the minus five mobility which completely removes the Attack Roll benefit (those you are fighting have the same bonus on you as you do on them). He also neglected the -5 int and -5wis which would hurt the ability to cast high complexity spells via about -2 complexity. Its not like dwarves are pixies and have complexity to spare. And +75 damage isn't that much when you consider the complexity price your paying, and the fact you have to be drunk as all heck to gain it.
In short, methinks Lingolas was being a bit unreasonable. He could have said +50 damage is better then +75. Instead he perfers to take an already worthless casting and fighting race, and say they shouldn't get a bonus, they should just be given a lot lower balance. Is Lingolas really sane?
