Who do you play as? We really don't give admin to anyone who isn't an active community member and visible somewhat regularily on the forums.

I believe I was playing NS with you about three or four days ago. I always use the name of Kenji, and I believe that you were ferret. I usually only play on the NS and Source servers.

Rgr, [gh] ferret is me. Get signed up on the forums and we'll see.

Quintos, we host two Source servers, one CS 1.6 server, an NS server, a Call of Duty:UO server, a CZ server, and a Ut2k4 server.

Hmm...I have UT sitting around somewhere I believe...And CSS I'm gonna play once I get around to buying it. NS I should start playing again...is there a source version of it planned?

Hope so. It'd run a lot better, and would look awesome besides. CSS should be out sometime in the next three days. They're going to start letting pre-order HL2 on STEAM.. Catch is, if you do it, you get CSS now, instead of having to wait.

*Goes to download Steam* but what happens if you order it off steam...then you don't have a hard copy, do you?

Nope, no hard copy. Not that it matters. You still have to download mandatory updates off STEAM.

Hm...can't seem to connect to your UT2004 server, doesn't show up on anything and even when I add it to favorites it doesn't show.

Nevermind, I got UT2004 from my cousin and apparently it's not a legal CD key so I can't really play online with it.

I was gonna say you'd need a hard copy for installation on multiple computers...but I guess you can download it through Steam after you buy it?

You buy whatever through STEAM and then you can download it into however many computers you want as long as you use the same account. Thats what I believe is the rule.

How much HD space is needed for pre-loading HL2?

4gigs. The entire game except key components is in the pre-load.

Yes, STEAM can be downloaded and installed on any PC. If you log in with YOUR account, you will be allowed to download and then play any game you own. After you lock out, if someone else logs into STEAM they'll only be able to play their games. If they don't own HL2, they can't play it, even if its installed because you played it.

Your account is your cd key. You could go to a friend's house, log him out, and log into yourself.

For the record, the site we've been discussing in this thread is http://www.gamehavoc.com

That's my gaming community, which runs two CSS servers, CS 1.6, NS, and UT2K4. We've got a pretty active IRC channel and forum too.
