also, forged (metal) quarterstaves are bugged when crafting, as the recipe directs you to the materials needed for one made of bone/wood etc

Also, savaging isn't working on any corpses at all...just says this when you type salvage corpse;
- Nothing left to harvest there.

when mining with xorns...if you mine a mineral or ore vein with them, and your turn doesn't clear out the vein..then the xorn mines some of the gem/ore and it goes in their inventory..you have to order them to drop all to get it :/

You pry uncut amber (3) from a mineral pocket.
A minor Xorn pries uncut citrine (2) from a mineral pocket.
A minor Xorn fails to harvest anything from a mineral pocket.
You deplete a mineral pocket.

............how do you create something when mining? I thought maybe just had to create 'something' of superior quality and it would work...but after processing a superior gem it still didn't work.

Superior girder ought to work, aye. Try using 'craft for' command to get an exceptional right away and see if that works lol.
