How do /you/ apply range as a tactic in combat atm?

I use it for my druids, letting my ele tank and casting sunbeam from afar....same as with rangers and their bows..it -does- have it's uses..I know some people set a trigger to fallback so they can keep casting range spells or shooting arrows from a distance, without getting too close to a mob to get hurt.

i personally use a sling, and because of that i set triggers to keep myself between 100 ft and 150 ft from my target, also if your back a certain distance it keeps you safe from most spells (such as breath, dispell, and other forms of negative spells while in combat)

i keep as far back as i can, 'cause with longbows you get 300 range. yeah-yeah!
