Samius, the fact that I was unbanned goes to show that caretakers do not always agree. If they did, I would not be allowed near these parts. Caretakers: While I have had trouble with them in the past, I do not have too much to complain about them lately. I can't really say they conspire against the ...

From your topic's name, I take it that you're interested in hosting something for the MUD? I doubt that Celeborn would want to put his code up somewhere else, but it is a nice gesture to make. If I didn't misunderstand the message as offering to host MUD-related sites, that sounds very good, and, if...

You touch on an interesting point in your last post, Arureal. If we have free will, but god is omnipotent and already knows what will happen, do we really have free will or is it simply an illusion? If we truly have free will, then our futures would not be certain until we exercised this ability. If...

Occams Razor. If you would like to call on Occam's Razor to explain that the Gospel of Judas is false while the others are true, I would like to call on it to say that there is no god so that we do not need to assume that the whole of religion is true and so we will not have to argue on the point o...

Re: friend made a good point
At what point in time did evolution deside to make diffrent sexes when it makes more logical sense from an evolution point of veiw to keep each asexual (How ever its spelled) I fail to understand how we could of came from ooze, both sexs suddenly all came out at the same time ? Perhaps it's just me...

I tested the balance of knight and it works for me. I get 1 extra lunge/spin. This test was done on a combat machine with innerpeace, equil, and gaunt of dex. Without knight, I get 7 lunge(7 spins too), 8th time=fall. With knight, I get 8 lunge(8 spins), 9th time=fall. How many times did you do thi...

Dwarf's cannonball only works at the start of combat on non-automatically hostile npcs (ie you can't already be in combat to use this). This is a huge disadvantage because most npcs are hostile ('red', all of epics) and also at a disadvantage when in partying (meaning you have to make the first mov...

Thats a HUGE waste of espace. Why would i max out my stats twice? Why wouldn't you for PvP? Strength is ultra important. As you found out. The Spell is what im mad about. I dont want to waste espace so that i wont get weakened by one spell. The whole idea of the poison spell is to incapacitate you....

You might want to go over the images a bit more and add some more transparency because I'm guessing the white borders aren't wanted. You should also look into css a little to get rid of the green borders around image links. I forget exactly how off hand, but I had to deal with a similar problem when...

Arureal, while I see the reasoning behind the idea, it really only encourages players to solo. There are many players that could level as fast as one of the large groups you talk of if they equipped themselves to the best of their abilities. I would not be opposed to the idea of lowering the experie...

Bows are powerful as they currently are, but I would like to see them changed. Keep weapon percents as they are, but have the range on a bow be decided by a new skill. Rangers would get this skill the highest followed by rogues and warriors. A ranger with this skill maxed should have a max range of ...

If we're gonna implement a classless system, we might as well replace the whole game with it. Although I would advocate this idea, it might be better to just have additional skills to buy at tri-av. The skill buying could also replace the complexity bonuses that we get. Class and skills would affect...

Re: More Realistic Bonuses
First of all, I suggest reworking how complexity points are gained in epiccing. Instead of gaining a point in all complexities over 40 every 30 levels, have different classes gain points at different rates. Warriors and rogues would not gain any complexity points. A mage might gain 1 point in physi...

I have to agree with the comments so far about lich and dragons. Dragons seem damn powerful on their own, depending how strong their breath is. I would suggest changing dragons to being a high epic bonus to the elemental starsigns themselves so that your complexities raise and/or you are granted inn...

More Realistic Bonuses
Why should a Warrior/Rogue/Mage gain as much complexity from levelling as a Druid/Cleric/Mage? Why should a Warrior/Cleric/Mage have swordskills that rival a Warrior/Paladin/Ranger's? First of all, I suggest reworking how complexity points are gained in epiccing. Instead of gaining a point in all co...
