I see alot of people using the Fire Breath instead of any of the other possible Breath's I have also heard that Wind Breath and Ice Breath is nice Wind for bashing, and Ice for slowing your opponent. So people what breath weapon is the best to you, and why?

People probably use fire breath more then the others because Breath is a Mage spell (as in they get the highest complexity in Physical etc) and mages also get pyromancy :P

The pixie may have a small mind, but there is a lot of truth in what was said. It wasn't explained very well however.

Every casting class has certain special elemental runes that they can use. If you don't have that class, you can't use the rune. Paladin's get Dis, the air rune. Clerics get Ter, the ice rune. Mages get Fir, the fire rune. As the pixie said, breath is a mage spell, so using Fir with it will be the most common practice. Hence they will be breathing Fire.

Isabelle used to favor Poison breath. People looking to damage gear of the target, often cast Acid Breath.

Ah, Vogar, clerics get Tal, crystal, not Ter, ice.

Can you tell I never bother to make clerics? First I thought they had more divine then paladins.... anyway, they are just worthless healer wimps ;)

the power of a cleric is not the heal. I think that many would agree that the true bonus of a cleric is the haste and a crap load of other defensive spells.

Now, if your skill should be so low that you need speed.... if your defenses are so bad you need boosts.... by all means be a Cleric. Just don't try and say Clerics are hardcore.

If anything, the only thing makes spell-ups useful is how hard it is to effectively pierce magic resistance with dispel magic. Oh, and the fact that only players have a powerful dispel. We can thank juices, antimagic shell, epic MR, The Shield, and Gnomes for all of that. That, and the more or less low complexity of mob magic, compounded with poor AI on caster mobs.

Better bless on Paladins, better sanctuary on items, Ward only can be used for one resistance, Armor? hah, the affect is divided by 5 or more.

Ward can be used on any resistance.

Armor is not divided by 5. It is in fact less, you should check yourself instead of spouting off numbers.

Let me correct myself, the actual mobility gain of the Armor spell is now affect divided by three. It used to be worse then that. Point is that its still mostly useless. Chances of 1 or 2 mobility saving your life are rather slim.

As for ward? You can only cast one type of ward on yourself at a time. That means it only works on one resistance, correct? Granted there once was a rumor of a bug with Ward. That is what I ment, that only one resistance is helped by the ward spell.

maybe so, but one or two mobility combined with one or two more, combined with one or two more (onwards... from eq) CAN save your life.... Only casting one resistance on you? dude.... i can cast ward and save my self enchanting 90% blunt resist.... thats a bunch of space i can use for other things.

wow.. you know when i first heard of you i had SOME respect for you... but now ive lost all respect

heres a run down of epic dungeons
spiders do slash damage
dragons do blunt damage
kobolds and crypts do a mixed type of dmg

Blunt resist is used for going into dragons.
DUH

Why go into dragons? Experience, Gems and Tomes...

Why use speed spells? Not a lack of skill but actually using skill. WOW! You can kill stuff without speed?! We all can! But with speed we can kill it a LOT faster.

Of course you probably don't have much speed, being a champion and with only one magic class. Magic has lots of benefits and until you accept them the only way you'll ever become good is by using really expensive rubbish. So embrace the magic and don't talk about things you don't understand.

i agree, that post was ridiculously long, i had to stay up several nights and read it completely.

I hate to admit this, but i would have to agree with Kiasyn. Speed not only help you kill things faster, they often ensure your survival. Even though speed is tweaked, the last time i tested out with all Surps on is still nearly invincible.

resistances is a huge deal. They are useful pretty much everywhere. They are expensive and take up precious space on your equ. Having a spell that supply you any resistance whenver you want gives you the flexibility that other players dont get.

A couple of mobility is also important. They do add up and once you're up there like Rahl, it is extremely diifficult to hit. Most mobs AR are not that high, so high Mobility is very important.

Not having Cleric, or one of a few ways to compensate for it's lack, renders your character vastly inferior in PvP. I'd wager that Lingolas, Vogar, and I are the only players who can beat the "good" players consistently without cleric as a class. Cleric is very useful, but there are ways to get most of its benefits without the investment of one of your three classes.

I personally love poison. (Toxicology) Not many people set resistances against it, and I think it's great it terms of pvp. But that's me, some may think differently.
