A prison idea is a great one Lingolas. You could ransom yourself out of prison, your nation/army/city/friends could pay your ransom, or you could hold others for prisoner exchange or ransom.

Wars don't need to last for months you know. Boo hoo if your char is out of the war for more then five minutes.... Try playing a Voider who has been Vampired for over a year.

Anyway, the way it looks is that you don't what your character to risk much, and yet be able to gain a lot. Personally, I think sitting in a small prison room (not a jail like the criminal ones where all commands are frozen) isn't going to hurt you any. The added rp of prisoner exchanges and ransoms would far outweigh your slight discomfort.

I see this as a way to implement the use of Subdue code. If you subdue a warring enemy, he gets instantly transported to the place you hold people for ransom. If you kill him.... well he is dead.... You can't ransom the dead now can you? I don't think those killed in a war should be able to continue the fight. It just doesn't seem right that you could potentially have a "One Man Army"
