Ok I have a few good suggestions to help people/players from abuseing the riddicule command...and in results getting banned for it.

1. Put a limit on every player on how many time's they can change their name (IF RIDICULED BY OTHER PLAYERS).
Example: Let's say 3 times they may change their name if ridiculed

NOTE: This does NOT mean after being ridiculed they may change their name at least 3 times NO.
This means they may be ridiculed/forced to change their name up to 3 times.

1 time per force/ridicule
3 times they may use

2. After a player has used up all 3 ridicules they MUST ask a caretaker if they could change their name.
- If a caretaker says NO then the answer will be NO..
NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
- The caretaker will make note of the answer he/she has given to the current player and send to other caretakers to help avoid caretaker manipulation... :evil:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Caretakers will send the following info to other fellow caretakers:
----------------------------------------------------
Players name:
Caretakers Answer:
Reason for Given Answer:
Reveiwed/Discussed:
:!: NO EXCEPTIONS! :!:
----------------------------------------------------
Caretakers may reveiw or discuss notes they have sent to other fellow caretakers.. To help their fellow caretakers from checking the notes again and again. :roll:
Plz reply if you have any questions or add-on's to this
and let me know if is a good suggestion :D
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reason I suggested this is because I feel we need to set ridicule rules for people/charecters, and hopefully avoid banning of friends or people we like... :wink:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you... Sincerly Seras/Tina/Ouka/Kikio/Ceras...etc :D
I don't really 'understand' the abuse of wanting of change a player's own name. If a player decides he/she wants to go by another legit name, what harm could that cause? Even in a fantasy/medieval world(and real world) that's possible. If anything, it's harmful to the person if he/she has 'binding' equipment.
Maybe... that could be the case, but for reasons, CT should be aware of that. However, all players [that I've seen] are restricted not because of this 'what if'.
I'm not suggesting players are able to change names free at will. I'm suggesting that players should be able to do so through a CT simply for supervision.
current help ridicule contains:
Code:
You can't ask for ridicules on a name that isn't illegal, but you may ask a Caretaker who will decide if you can change your name or not.
(Updated today to clarify things)
