There could be several caravans all trying to get to the same place. The groups
would escort the caravan to the destination. Bandits would attack at random,
getting increasingly difficult. The first group to get the caravan to the
destination with the merchant alive would win. Dead players could depart
or revive and rejoin the group, but if the merchant is left alone for more than
one round he dies and that group would lose.

to lift the curse from a town, a powerful elixer needs to be made, however the
alchemist lacks the herbs. the first part of the quest would be to bring in
certain herbs and give them to the alchemist. once all the herbs are
collected and the potion is brewed, a special chalice would need to be
assembled to hold it. the second part would be gathering the parts of the
chalice. once the elixer and the chalice are made, they would have to be
carried to the town and given to the mayor.

This is the quest I have thought of similar to any quest but little longer. A
person will have to find a mob providing a quest......then must agree with
that quest.....the person must then look for an item the mob wish to
have.......then give the item to the mob.....the mob wish to have a rare item
to have also.......the item will be held by a strong mob.....after defeating
mob.....player gets the item......then the player left to find the give item
to mob.......a note on the floor saying he was kidnap by someone........the
player go look for the kidnapper.......after searching for the
kidnapper.....player must go through a 5 trial of 5 elements of fire, water,
earth, wind, and darkness.....after going through the trial.....player founds
the mob dead......after killing mob on the last trial an echo from the mob
holding quest saying give the item to his brother in somewhere.......player go
search for his brother and give item.....the quest ends here.

Quest idea: A large keep somewhere in the area has been cut off from contact
w/ nearbye cities, no messenger has come back. monsters have taken it over
and teh keep needs to be cleared and the force behind it stopped. When the
players get to the final boss and slay him, they find a note on his body that
says somethign to the effect of "here is a unit of my finest, make sure to
secure the keep so that we ahve a stronghold set up b4 we attack the city of
Tarsonis." Sincerely, The mayor of Midian or something. Have a worm in the
woodwork or two that you have to flush out. and then have that lead to
another MOB w/ an underground cavern somewhere, but make it a NOn-player
character or something, like an augerer of high lvl *30-50 somewhere* A
really long quest, but fun!

In Tarsonis or Midian, one might meet a wandering bard. If you help him "clear"
his throat, he might sing you the Epic of Hero, which no other bards know.
Orogins of the lengthy song are unknown; the bard claims it has been passed
down by generations.
Nevertheless; he sings about ages way way way back then, when the civilization
has barely set foot in Alora.
The early times were tough; settlers had a tough life building settlements and
defending them from fierce Aloran habitants. Many settlements have erupted and
disappeared in those times of endless danger.
There were no kings, there were no major authorities.
Many heroes have arisen and fallen in quest to make Alora somehow safer. One of
them the bard is singing about.
The human warrior named simply Kareth was an orphan, whom parents have died
defending their village that was ambushed and ruined down. There were no
survivors but Kareth. He grew up at the hunter that found him hiding in a tree
trunk.
The hunter taught Kareth of all hunting skills; he also taught him how to swing
weapons and basics of combat. He noticed that Kareth had an unusual ability;
he foresaw his moves few seconds before he executed them.
The hunter taught Kareth how to develop his abilities, however was never able
to finish teaching. One day, he never came home. Kareth waited for three days
before he went searching for his saviour and teacher.

Bard continues to song about Kareth the young man who went searching for the
hunter; he eventually found him in a clearing, terribly decimated amongst
corpses of monsters he has slain prior to death. He also found corpses of
several peasants and children nearby. The hunter was defending them with his
life. Kareth buried corpses and cried all day long about his demise. The next
day, when he could not bear the stench of rotting monsters, he burned them and
returned home. He collected items he needed for journey and departed towards
the nearest settlement.
As he arrived, the village already was under attack; Kareth drew his bow and
shot several monsters mercilessly. Then, he dropped the bow, wield axe and
stood aside villagers, cleaving monsters. The leader of ambush jumped in
before Kareth, lunging claws at the villager beside Kareth. He pushed the
villager in time, but could not dodge claws that tore into his face, leaving
terrible scar.
Kareth promptly slew the leader, causing remaining mosters to flee; villagers
stood shocked for a minute then began rejoicing and praising Kareth. They
tended his wounds, and told him they plan to move back to civilization, as the
life here was too hostile.
Kareth stayed for three days to mend his wounds; the scar on head kept
bleeding, though. One night, the day before villagers would leave for safety,
he drew a blade, put it in fire and when it became hot enough, he put it
against the scar, burning it. The villagers were amazed and inspired; then
the village elder came to him. "Kareth, you who dont have family name, I dub
thee Scarblade. Accept this modest gift from who you saved." (continues) Page 2

Bard continues to song about Kareth Scarblade who was grateful for his name;
the village elder asked him of the favor. He asked Kareth to escort villagers
to the safety of their old home. Kareth accepted, as he had nothing left here.
The next day, the caravan departed onto the long and perilous journey. Every
day, they got ambushed. If it was not for Kareth, they all would perish. As
they finally arrived at the keep, last outpost of the civilization, they
thanked him and Kareth stood at keep, watching villagers go in.
Did he want to follow them? All he knew was a life of hunting and occacional
fight for life. Did he want to drop that life and live peacefully? As he
peered over forests of Alora, he felt the urge to go back. No, he would not
fit into the city. He was fit for wilderness of Alora.
Suddenly, a captain of the keep spoke to him. "Kareth Scarblade?" He nodded.
"The oldman has told me of your deed and skills. May I have a word with you?"
A while later, Kareth learned that the captain was running short on men due to
endless ambushes onto the keep and outlying villages. He wanted someone to
seek the source of ambushes, as he believed those were no ordinary wild
monster attacks; they were too well organized. Kareth agreed. Now he had a
reason to go back.
He was handed equipment and weapons; the next day he departed on the hunt with
a determination. Was it revenge? Or was it the wish for all people to live
peacefully in those wonderful lands?

Bard sings about long adventure Kareth Scarblade had in the wilderness of
Alora. For many months, he fought defending villages, tracked fleeing
monsters, all in vain. He was not able to find the source. He became an
experienced warrior and hunter, hailed by outlying villages as a saviour. But
he knew defending villages and escorting villagers was not enough. But he did
not find any traces of the "entity" that was organizing monsters.
Until one day he was on usual hunt in forest, when he saw a humongous creature
flying above him. Could it be one of those dragons people were whispering
about?
He followed it into mountains, where he noticed there were no monsters around.
How unusual. He followed the huge clawmarks and footsteps until he found a
cave entrance. Inside, he could smell the dragon.
He carefully entered the cave, touching around, as he did not want to use
light. Soon, a booming voice echoed. The dragon was watching him. Kareth
jumped and went into combat stance, then he saw those eyes. There was no anger
in them. In fact, he felt sadness and curousity...
For a few minutes, they watched each other. Then, Kareth sheathed his blade.
Clearly this dragon was not trying to eat him, or else he would not be still
standing. He slowly looked around and saw several dragons in the huge cavern.
Immobile dragons.. Dead? Suddenly, he knew what has happened here. Dragons
were attacked. He could make out burned corpses of numerous corpses, as his
eyes fixated to the darkness.
(continues) Page 4

Bard sings about Kareth Scarblade meeting the dragon. As Kareth was looking
around at the evidence of a massacre, the dragon slowly turned around and left
the cavern. Kareth knew enough; the dragon came back from the hunt to find his
family killed and monsters around rejoicing. The dragon went into fury and
filled the caverns with fire that could melt stones. All monsters perished in
an instant. This dragon is a powerful one. Kareth followed the dragon outside.
There, he looked at the dragon; it was a huge creature with several scars and
claw marks on its black scales. How old was it? He could not tell, but it was
clearly a head of the family.
Why did the "entity" want to eliminate dragons? Did they know something? He had
to make a contact with the dragon... "Yes, I know of the entity." Suddenly,
the dragon was speaking in his mind... Before Kareth could ask, dragon
continued: "It is an ancient beast, a nemesis of dragons. If you are to find
and slay it, I will help you. Under one condition."
Kareth wondered what the condition was. The dragon replied, "My youngest
sibling is missing. Find it and I will help you." Kareth knew enough.
He went back into cavern, covering his nose. He searched for evidence and found
out one of dragons had tried to cover something with its body. That something
is gone by now. He found tracks. He followed it deep into caverns, way too
small for the adult dragon. He understood why he was asked to find the
sibling. After hours passed, he saw it - a frightened little dragon... Little?
It is still bigger than him. It attacked him. Kareth dodged. He had to pacify
the baby dragon somehow. But how?
(continues) Page 5

Bard sings about Kareth and the baby dragon, how they fought. Kareth was
dodging ravenous attacks of the frightened baby, as he was looking for a way
to subdue it. He remembered his special ability. The baby charged. He could
see where it would be the next seconds... he dropped the blade, dodged
nimblily and jumped onto the baby, embracing it. For seconds, they both lied
on ground, as Kareth was holding the baby tight. Soon, the baby calmed down,
as it realized it would already be dead if Kareth wanted to kill it. He led it
back to the adult.
The dragon seemed very happy to see that his line is still alive. As promised,
it offered to help Kareth. "I know where it is. Come up, I will take you
there." Soon they were flying high, after a hour he saw dark swamps. "It is in
there." Indeed, there were many monsters around, peering up. "I can take care
of monsters, you have to go in and kill the beast. I can not enter the cave."
A moment later, the dragon roared down, landing on ground with an enormous thud
and quake. Kareth could see the cave before he fell and landed in the mud. He
stood up and drew... Huh, he realized he forgot the blade at the dragons cave.
He drew his bow he crafted himself and headed for the cave, as monsters were
busy fighting the dragon.
One glance at the fight revealed the dragon on the winning side. How could
those monsters kill them dragons? He wondered. They must have been very well
organized.
He sneaked aside the cave entrance and stayed there for a minute. The fight was
getting intense, as monsters were getting reinforcements. He had to do it
quick and clean. (continues) Page 6

Bards continues to sing about Kareth finding his way into the suspicious
looking cave that was smaller than dragons cave. Strangely, there were no
monsters inside. Soon, he sneaked behind a large rock and saw the beast. Huge
six-legged creature, smaller than a dragon but still huge. It had a somewhat
canine face, long razor sharp claws and pitch dark hide.
He could make out several smaller beasts around, too... its siblings. Is this
the beast that has been organizing monsters? Soon he got the answer - a few
bigger monsters entered the cave, obviously reporting.
Soon, they left. The beast stood up. Oh my, those muscles. He has to slay it
now or the dragon is in trouble... Hmm, what did it order them monsters? Must
have used telepathy like dragons...
"There are you." He jumped, surprised. The beast was staring at him. It is
talking in his mind, too. "So you are the one that was looking for me. What a
pathetic creature."
Kareth readied his bow. "Very well, if that is what you desire, I shall feed
you to my children." The baby beasts rushed towards him. He began shooting.
Hmm, they have got strong hides, as armors got deflected, however he could
find a soft spot. Soon, all babies were dead, with one stumbling just in front
of him.
The beast roared and charged... Kareth realized his bow would not be very
useful. He dropped the bow, drew axe and ran along wall of the cave. Oh my,
the beast is very quick, he thought.
Using his ability, he could foresee the incredibly quick blows of the beast,
dodging them. (continues) Page 7

Bard sings about the epic battle of human and the beast, with dragon's fierce
roaring coming from outside. Kareth was getting tired and the beast did not
seem hurt. He looked around and got an idea. He ran to the biggest baby beast,
chopped its claws off and rolled away before the huge beast could crush him.
He threw the axe at beast's face. It hit an ear but surprisingly got
deflected. Very, very strong hide, Kareth thought.
He nimblily ducked blows, looking for a way to hurt the beast. He waited for
the right moment, using his ability to foresee the beast's blows... There, it
was gonna hit his leg, if he wouldnt dodge, but it was an excellent
opportunity... The beast tore into Kareth's leg painfully, tearing leg tissues
away, as Kareth lunged into beast's eye.
The beast roared, knocking Kareth aside. He jumped with all might from healthy
leg, landing behind the beast's head, thrusting into soft spots. The beast
roaring, Kareth wildly piercing its skull with claws. The beast suddenly leapt
upwards, hitting the ceiling along with Kareth. They both fell, Kareth
unconscious and beast dying. Suddenly, a baby dragon flew in, grabbed Kareth
and flew away with him, before beast could finish him off.
Kareth woke up to see both dragons watching over him outside the cave. All was
silent. He looked around to see monsters fleeing and cave collapsed. The
dragon collapsed it. Dragon took Kareth to the keep, dropping him in front of
surprised captain and soldiers and leaving with "Thank you."
(continues) Page 8

Bard sings on how Kareth was treated of his wounds and questioned by surprised
captain. Soon, captain verified that organized monster ambushes have ceased.
Villages and keeps rejoiced and hailed Kareth Scarblade the Hero. His tale
spread over Alora quickly, raising spirits of settlers.
Bard concludes the song with how Kareth Scarblade could never recover from leg
wounds, so he built up his own settlement. His skills were legendary, he
became teacher of many elite soldiers, warriors and hunters.
Soon those elites swept the area clear of monsters, making it safe for
centuries to come. That was way, way long ago. The story has been passed from
generation to generation of the bard's family.
Bard claims that Kareth went looking for his blade, bow, axe and claws and he
never found them. Many adventurers have sought those fabled weapons after
Kareth's death and never found them.
Bard also claims that the baby dragon may still be alive and may provide clues
to the weapons. He also mentions that the elder dragon has torn some hide from
beast before collapsing the cave. However, no one has found the baby dragon to
verify the rumors.
What about YOU?
Can YOU find the ancient dragon cave somewhere in mountains, the collapsed cave
in swamps, the now adult dragon and fabled weapons and hide?
Can you verify Kareth Scarblade the Hero 's story?
Adventurer able to find all above and verify the epic is said to become the
best treasure hunter... Good luck.
(The end) Page 10 (sorry for messing pages up)

Ok, phew, that is the story, would be nice if someone put it in verses for me
for barb to sing, and a nicer version of the story.
So, how the quest should work?
As you can see, there are five key items...
Blade, Bow, Axe, Claws and Hide.
You must find the baby dragon, which is now adult, to get clues on ancient
dragon cave and beast cave. You must gain a trust of the dragon though, it
expects a spirit of the Kareth Scarblade. If you are evildoer and stuff, you
arent trusted and dragon wont tell you clues. Perhaps you need to save some
dragonette, slay some monsters for the dragon to trust you. Find the dragon a
partner (dragonette) and that is it ;)
Next, it will tell you of the dragon cave and beast cave. The dragon cave is
located in mountains RANDOMLY, the dragon will give you approx. coords, the
beast cave also located randomly in swamps. Have to dig to enter the beast
cave.
The quest is supposed to be difficult, as there would only be one of each item
per reboot and caves locations would be random every reboot.
Also, there should be some nasty mobs interfering with your adventure ;)
Such as warped treasure hunters that'll let ya find them items then take 'em
from ya, muah... And... oh, hey, one baby beast must have survived the
slaughter... ;)
Upon completion of the quest (show items to the bard), the adventured is deemed
the best treasure hunter, gains some glory etc., maybe a new bard song that
grants the Kareth's ability of foreseeing blows and improving dodge.

What about a Bard Quest thingie where the bards have something like a
poetry/ballad slam with the topic decided by the Imm running the quest?
