Since things are still pretty unstable I'm extending the sandbox mode another 24 hours. We will revert the mud afterwards!
Please continue to report bugs or issues on the forums.

What's new in 2.2.6

Main change: Bone material ladder is in! (Butcher. Salvage isn't yet, but you can mine for bone on mine layer ~14).

jan 29
+ Bone is in!
+ Added recipe for hardened bone, restless bone, living bone, pristine fossilized bone to butcher.
+ Added ingredient for thick iron wire to butcher.
+ Added layer with bones to mines (~14 deep). spawns cracked bone, bone, fossilized bone and archaic bones.
+ Animating Tonic can be obtained from Timmy's tower in Tarsonis.
+ Bugfix: Mine springs are now made of water.
+ Bugfix: Bag of holding and bag of many pockets now true containers.
+ Bugfix: removed the bad cuirass skill.
+ Bugfix: patch of cave mushrooms clears out when completely harvested.
+ Bugfix: Recipes now properly check for Instruments, instead of failing when you /do/ have the required instrument. :p

starting crafting a hawthorne quarterstaff in the morning..left it as unfinished til the evening..about 12 hours later or so..and resumed crafting it..once it was crafted instead of being called a hawthorne wood Quarterstaff [41-64 dmg], it was simply called

Also..this room is a problem...
The Arena
Strange screams can be heard echoing through this vast darkness. You
cannot see walls or floors, just emptiness, and a strange forboding
chill runs down your spine as you realize you're alone, and afraid.
@ Exits: none.
Commands: runewalk.
(large) (Humming) A large totem has blue symbols etched on the faces.
(large) A huge beaten anvil stands proudly in the corner.
(large) A forge has been built here, to heat metallic items.

this is where you go when you die, or if you havn't set a recall point somewhere, and cast word of recall.
Sure, it says you can runewalk from it, but when you try..it says 'You cannot runewalk in the arena!' ...and neither can you quit the game and log as an alt..as you can't log out in the arena. I severed my connection to the mud, waited half an hour..then logged back in..to see if it would let me choose an alt..and it logged me back into that character..effectively keeping me trapped until either a caretaker can transfer me out..or I can get someone to group with me and gather me out to a different place.

when fishing, you occasionally pull up items such as a fish skeleton, a tangle of junk, and seaweed..all are made from cloth it seems :)
