Have a question about the change mentioned here:
http://forums.dark-legacy.com/viewtopic ... 011197ee76
Ok, so the plaque says "I have managed to cleanse this place of evil, here, and you may rest and summon aid to help you in your battles against the whore of the abyss."
Now the room is no astral, thus no help can come to aid you.
The spell Summon cannot be used in areas, only on the world map.
If it means summon mobs(elemental, wolf etc), you can do that about anywhere in the keep.
So if the purpose of it wasn't astraling, what is it for?

if you like to travel to zone with astralble area be my guess ,but my point is we need the astral spell to astral around the mud to help us, i think its a good idea to keep the astral zonein most of the areas

just in case Armageddon becomes non-astralable:
How do you get there on foot?

You can get 44 or so in the aquarium on a void, can go to silver stream(sw of hoch) at 46 but i highly doubt a void could kill a single mob there since they're weighted vs melee.

you could (although it would suc) go to Bangrath to level till about... 47 i think (could be totaly wrong) then go to Silver Streams. as long as your a good fighter its no problem. my friend Sato's char got through it with heal as the only spell she was using

back to the topic, why was this room changed? Yaegar always put a astral room in his areas, and he did it intentionly.

Its probably to prevent Lilith runs..the room is almost at the end of the area..and if ppl can just astral in thatd be just too easy. Adding in a shortcut so that a whole group of ppl can astral in and help out with Lilith is rather lame. And I dont think that just because Yaegar put in an astral room that it needs to be maintained by an Immortal if the situation changes or even just cuz they want to. The immortals are busy promoting exploration and an area like Lilith is a bit more special than say...Land of the Fire Newts, so it doesnt seem strange to me that its made like this when other areas that are similar are also non-astral. But this is of course just my view on things...perhaps an answer from Isabelle might settle this once and for all so to speak.

armageddon is astralable, select rooms at least. I have set it that way, and it will remain that way for now.
as for liliths keep, i did not consider that summon would not function, so i propose a fix.
summon (and consequently astral) come back in.
now, i do not want astral functioning in there, when the area was created, no thought of 'pets' was on the table. The author did not know that people would simply drop their pet off there, and basically astral to lilith, kill her, and leave.
It was not intended by design. - the area was made for a reason, if he just made the area to kill lilith, the entire area would be 1 room big, and it would have lilith inside.
So, my proposal, i make a program that either A) slays anyone who astrals there, or B) transports the player to TSQ when they astral there.
Thus allowing summon to function.
Or, C) I leave it as is, and the total inept players who have no desire to actually walk through the area themselves, or with a group, can just be out of luck.
I'll let you guys decide.

yes, i could, however astral isnt an option
i would allow summon, because it would mean you sorta need a strong mage standing there doing the spellcasting.
i'm thinking more and more that the room should simply disappear

I think choice A is out. Player 1 could tell Player 2 to astral to him/her without knowing death would await... and/or Player 1 tells Player 2, whom player 1 hates, to astral for death (abuse), asuming player 2 doesn't know its death, didn't farsight first, and/or haven't been to lilith yet.
Choice B seems fair to what the original discription indicates to only allow summon and requires a reasonably high magic user.
Choice C goes against the RP of the area of what it originally intended. I feel kinda 'iffy' about changing it, but this would be the easiest way out; although, I would request choice B if possible before this option.

i allway just astral to mikan and then leave, mount a summoned horse and use my waypoint to travel to the entrance, after getting to the enctance it takes me a whole 45 seconds or so to get to the area that takes you to lilith (if youve been there you know where i mean). this includes fights and all, and im not even epic yet. i say you should make the room non-astral. if someone dosnt wana take a whole minut or 2 out of their life to walk to lilith they dont need to get there verry bad.

If you want to correct abuse: Just make it so the room is flagged specially to hinder incoming astrals, or a lack of a mob for a target. It's tougher to just transport masses of PCs with those standards in place.
OR, they can walk there, summon/portal/whatever anyone they like in, which is not all that powerful in the first place, but once logged off in said area, they're poofed back to town. This keeps people from logging off alts in the room to abuse.
It's rather foolhardy to change an entire aspect of the game (especially one so broad and general), throwing other things off (as previous posts address).
