I'm working on some improvements to player parties, and one aspect I'll work on is improving the player control over how treasure from killed NPCs ends up with the party gets auto looted. At the moment it is the first to loot is the first to get it.
My first idea is to allow multiple looting types: leaders choice, rolling for stuff you want, or the plain old way (leave in corpse). I'm wondering if you guys have any ideas or preferences how loot distribution is handled?

I like the "your kill, your loot" system myself; it seems to be pretty standard

the problem with that though is that some people have good damroll equipment, and after the lag of joining the fight wears off, all you can do is jab and get the loot every time. it's not that fair.
i think it'd be cool if the group leader could designate a container and somehow code it so the game keeps track of how much value each thing in the container and, there'd be like a "group divvy" or something (divvy up the loot!) and it'll hand out the items as close as possible to make the value be even between the players
by the way! i'm so awful at articulating my thoughts so if you need anything clarified just ask
