Hiiiiii everyone! :D

Just a little update. As you might or might not know, i've been working
on codig a fresh mud from the base, using everything I learned during
the lifetime of DL.

well, ideas have been pouring into code since I started, and i've
decided to finish completing 'Petal versus Blade' into a full fledged mud.

Since some people have been having panic attacks what this means for
DL, i'll make my intentions clear. I indend to keep DL running, and
fix bugs, even when PvB is done.

On another note, my RL costs are increasing by the month, and hosting
DL takes a chunk of what I should be spending on bills. :P I intend
to keep hosting DL regardless, but for anyone willing to contribute,
I added a paypal donation option to the website. :) All donations
will be used purely for hosting.

Any questions? Ask away! Wheee!

Yeah, i would bet everyone just moves to the new mud anyways, and DL can be quietly placed in a little cardboard box, and buried somewhere pretty.

Maybe start new section of forums for your new mud? You can toss in some features and stuff, and i'm sure i would have lots of ideas you could play with :)

Humph, I heard that he is going toward all origional races.... That would mean no dwarves.... Why would anyone want to leave DL where dwarves trod?

A. I will, when the mud opens up for Betatesting. :) That may take some months though.

I want to open in two days, but its probably going to take me a six months to reach beta, and a year before it is finished enough for normal play.

I do not plan to advertise PvB after this. DL and PvB will not be clones, and will give you a different player experience. Some of you might like it, but since most people like a certain style and stick with it, I dont feel I should get my pvb pbase from DL.

A. The PvB site will have its own forums when the beta opens; DL and PvB will be kept seperate. I've already designed (and partly implemented) the biggest part of PvB on paper. When the beta opens I will use external input to fill in the blanks, and fix all my horribly broken fantasy english. :P

A. Maybe i'll allow a single dwarf. ;) (Provided you dont pass your dwarf-genes that is)

Glad to hear that PvB will be arriving. I'll help donate for Dark-Legacy through PayPal after Christmas, tight for money during present month :P. Other than that I'd be glad to help with Beta testing for PvB or any other way I can help. I've got plenty of time till I go back to work in April.
