If you're a reader of Penny-Arcade, you probably already know what Child's Play is. Child's Play is a charity started last year by Penny Arcade, with the goal of helping out sick children in hospitals, by getting gamers to donate toys and video games.
Last year, only one Children's Hospital in Seattle was involved in the charity, but the Penny Arcade readership donated over $250,000 in video game systems, consoles and hand helds, books, toys for small children, and other gifts and money for the hospital's long-term patients.
This year, the charity has expanded to five Children's Hospitals across the nation. This is your chance as a gamer to help a sick child somewhere share the kind of joy you get from gaming, to give them something to enjoy every day, while they undergo their treatments and endure long hospital visits.
I know a lot of you don't have a lot of money, or plan to donate it to this site, GameHavoc. For December, I'll live without donations. Give your money to Child's Play, those kids need it more than we do. Or if you want, send your money to me with a note that it is for Child's Play, and I will send it in as a joint contribution by the gamers of GameHavoc.
